The speaker taps into the experience and observation of operating the Facebook community platform in Taoyuan Longtan from 2010 to 2017, and launches a series of community construction and action plans, to explore the relationship between the virtual community platform and the spatial forms generated by the virtual community platform. Combining the experience of online virtual operation and off-line actual operations, the author further analyzes the key points of interaction between the two, and finds solutions to what is lacking between the two.
This study adopts the participatory observation and action research modes as its research methods to understand the phenomenon and feedback generated by such experience. Using Longtan Taoyuan as the research subject, the author learns how to communicate with invisible residents through the online operation of social media. This study gathers consensus, and takes stock of community resources, then verifies them in the actual society, so as to reach the group of population that otherwise cannot be reached through the traditional construct of community.
