Open Culture Foundation is a non-profit organization. Through promoting open technology and cross-field collaboration, we continue to connect tech communities and other public and private entities in Taiwan. Since 2014, we have functioned as a legal entity and supported over 40 open technology communities in Taiwan. FOSS for All is a non-profit organization founded in 2025, dedicated to fostering a sustainable and collaborative open-source ecosystem in South Korea.

We recognized that many valuable FOSS projects struggle not with technology, but with the operational burdens of accounting and financial management. Inspired by the success of Taiwan's OCF (Open Culture Foundation), our core mission is to solve this problem by providing fiscal sponsorship. We act as a financial and administrative hub for communities, allowing them to focus purely on their passion for open source.

Our vision is an ecosystem where projects of all sizes—from individual passion projects to large-scale efforts—can grow and thrive together. As our first major step toward this vision, we are launching the 'FOSS for All Conference' in November 2025, creating a new space for connection and knowledge sharing in the Korean FOSS community.

We are a group of Taiwanese volunteers who continuously keep an eye on and contribute to the localization of free, libre and open source software projects. The scope of localization includes display (such as fonts), input (such as input methods), processing (such as internal program support), translation, and regional language settings (such as date and time formats, currency units, icon design, cultural customs, etc.).

We primarily participate in desktop application projects, such as GNU/Linux distributions, GNOME, KDE, LibreOffice, GIMP, Krita, Blender, and more. The UBports Foundation, or UBports, is a charitable foundation under the German law (gemeinnützige rechtsfähige Stiftung des bürgerlichen Rechts). Its mission is to support the collaborative development of Ubuntu Touch and to promote its widespread use. It also serves as an independent legal entity to which anyone can contribute code, funding and other resources, with the knowledge that these contributions will be used for public benefit. Twinkle AI is a research community founded in late 2024, dedicated to enhancing Traditional Chinese language models with local cultural context. Starting with open-source LLaMA models, we are developing practical technologies tailored to the linguistic nuances of Taiwan. Our community is made up of people from all walks of life, united by a shared passion for model training. From collecting region-specific corpora to training language models, we are committed to open-sourcing both our datasets and our models.

Our mission is to promote knowledge of large language model training through real-world practices. By embracing openness and collaboration, we aim to advance the local ecosystem in the field of generative AI.

The "g0v Jothon" task force continuously organizes bi-monthly mega hackathons, invests in community infrastructure, and drives fundraising efforts. Currently consisting of eight volunteers and project contractors, Jothon has previously organized the "g0v Civic Tech Prototype Grant," initiated the writing of the g0v Civic Tech Project & Community Handbook, promoted the "Sch001" digital civic empowerment initiative (which includes open courses and project incubation programs), and built the "Civic Tech Project Database and Guide (civictech.tw)."

The "AI Muggles' Co-learning Group" task force continues to advance AI literacy empowerment courses and train seed instructors. We encourage these instructors to promote literacy across various fields and integrate AI application design thinking, inviting learners to propose their own project concepts.

Open Source People Network (OSPN) is a non-profit organization in Japan dedicated to open source. It organizes the Open Source Conference series across the country, providing opportunities to share open source topics and host booth exhibitions. These activities aim to promote open source culture while connecting communities nationwide. In recent years, OSPN has strengthened international engagement through initiatives such as HackNight camps, unconferences, and exchange tracks with events like COSCUP.

Taipei Ethereum Meetup is a physical meetup community that focuses on the theory, implementation, and applications of Ethereum technology. Open-EP is a Taiwan-based community dedicated to open-source electronic paper (E-Paper) technologies. We focus on promoting the development and application of E-Paper display modules in embedded systems. Our contributors include hardware engineers, embedded software developers, and makers who are passionate about low-power display technologies.

Our main activities include:

1. Open-Source Hardware Development: We maintain the open-ep.org project and provide open hardware designs for E-Paper driver boards.
2. Cross-Platform Support: We support multiple processor platforms, including Renesas, NXP, and Raspberry Pi. We develop various applications for these platforms and release them all as open source.
3. Linux Kernel Contributions: While E-Paper is traditionally MCU-oriented, we focus on addressing industry pain points by submitting E-Paper–related Device Tree patches and DRM drivers to the mainline Linux kernel. We are proud to have had our contributions reviewed and accepted upstream.
4. Technical Sharing: We regularly participate in conferences in Taiwan and internationally, sharing our experience in E-Ink controller integration, display optimization, and embedded platform porting.

We believe E-Paper technology has tremendous potential in IoT, wearable devices, and AI-powered smart displays. Through open collaboration, we aim to lower technical barriers and enable more developers to easily integrate E-Paper into their projects.

Anonynet Community (anoni.net) is a Taiwan-based grassroots group focused on anonymity networks, internet freedom, and digital privacy. We promote tools such as Tor, Tails, and OONI, helping journalists, NGOs, and activists build safer “second devices”, anonymized connections, and censorship measurement workflows. Since 2025 we have run local workshops and roundtables, including an August “Anonymous Network Workshop” and activities around RightsCon Taipei, and we maintain a multilingual documentation site in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English. WasmEdge is a Sandbox project under CNCF, providing a lightweight, high-performance, and flexible WebAssembly runtime in cloud-native, edge devices, and decentralized application environments. Wikimedia Taiwan is a non-profit national social organization in Taiwan. It is the Wikimedia Chapter in Taiwan authorized by the Wikimedia Foundation and is responsible for promoting various Wikimedia projects under the Wikimedia Foundation, such as Wikipedia and Wikinews, and promoting related collaborative projects.
