Abstract
Nitra is a fintech startup focused on the U.S. healthcare industry. Our mission is to use financial technology and AI to cut down practice operating costs, protect their margins, and give doctors more time to focus on what matters most: their patients. In this talk, we will share our real stories of working in the difficult U.S. healthcare system and building financial products to solve major money flow problems for practices. You will hear what really happened behind the scenes—from dealing with strict legal rules and getting scammed by clients, to throwing away our work to start over, leveraging a full JavaScript ecosystem (Vue.js, Quasar, Node.js, and Express) for rapid decision-making and iteration, and finally building a new product from zero to launch in just two months. In the spirit of open source, we want to share Nitra's real-world lessons and financial tech insights to help you avoid common pitfalls. We will cover an introduction to the ACH (Automated Clearing House) and its risks, as well as our hard-earned lessons and trade-offs when working with Stripe, the world's largest Card Issuing Program Manager. Through these stories, we hope to show you who Nitra is, how our team works, and why we never give up.
