Some of the FOSS project does have its own character, and so is its license. Just like cats herding, you can not treat them as private objects, but life partners in relation. In this session, the speakers will share how to deal with the FOSS compliance inside the companies in a doable and workable method, such as:

1. clarify the scope of source code to be delivered in the redistribution
2. guide the engineers to well prepared the FOSS lists in the development, and
3. filter out the non-open source components in the third-party package to achieve better risk control.

To help the audience learn the FOSS management in an efficient way, Knowledge on the trend of FOSS licenses shall also be introduced, such as the new “Source Available” license applied in part of the Redis Modules.
