Before there was RISC-V there was OpenRISC a 32-bit RISC CPU architecture that is still being developed today.
Stafford will give discuss the history and architecture of OpenRISC an open source CPU architecture that started in 2000. We will also discuss the ongoing projects and future goals of the platform.
About Stafford Horne
Stafford has worked on Open source projects related to linux since 2000 while attending San Jose State University in California. After graduation, Stafford moved to Beijing China and worked for 3 years at a startup. Stafford now lives in Tokyo Japan working on Financial software at SMBC Nikko.
Since 2015 he has been working on OpenRISC. This has led to being able to contribute to other open source projects like GCC, Linux and Litex.
