This talk will introduce an experience about the development of a citizen science project using open data and open sources. Based on an open environment, the citizen science project can transparently and reliably collect, share, analyst data among participants. Through the practice of the citizen science project, this talk is going to explicate how open collaboration plays an important role in citizen science projects.

Dongpo Deng is an evangelist for open data and open source. He was active in OpenStreetMap society and a charter member of OSM Taiwan and Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo).
